Hello and Welcome! I started working as Teen Librarian @ Robbins in September 2008. Thank you for stopping by! Check out what's going on at Robbins Library! This blog will keep you up to date on the programming and services we offer to teens.
Liza coordinates the scheduling, pr and other details of all programs for youth, ages zero to eighteen, at the Robbins and Fox Branch Libraries. She loves her job because she gets to meet cool artists, performers and people in the community who participate in the programs.
Besides her work at the library, Liza is a poet, teacher, baker, beader and mom of two boys aged 2 and 7. Please feel free to contact her at lizahalley08@gmail.com if you would like to suggest, run, or help out with a library program.
The Russell Fund helps support Teen Services @ Robbins Library!
The Anne. A Russell Children's Educational and Cultural Enrichment Fund was established in 1992 by Gordon Russell in honor of his mother. The purpose of the trust is for "books, periodicals, visual materials, lectures, artistic presentations or other types of relevant programs and activities, both educational and cultural, of benefit to children patrons of the library."
Gordon Russell grew up in Arlington and used the library frequently. His mother loved the library and thus he gave the money in her honor. The Children's Room is named for her. She died several years ago. They are not related to Jason Russell.
